Capturing LIGHT
The first image I took in the middle of the night. The light came from the fireworks that were being shot out over the River, thats the light I captured. There is a lot of negative space in the image between the water and on the sides of the fireworks. It also follows the rule of third and has great exposure. It emits a sense of excitement or celebration because thats what fireworks are used for.

Mirror - by Vivian Maier
This Self- Portrait by Vivian Maier intrigues me because of the reflection of Vivian in the window and the cars as well that you can see the woman and her daughter inside the store. The way the incident rays hit the mirror makes a very interesting and intriguing image.
MIRROR
Image #3
The image was taken in the school' s courtyard and it was cloudy and it was overcast. I used a convex mirror and two regular flat mirrors which I put at 90 degrees from each other making a triangle, then I put the camera in the middle of the triangle and the angle of incident made a very interesting resultant angle and reflection, which was a illusion of infinite mirrors with in the convex mirror. There are small areas of negative space within the image which includes many right triangles within it. The result that happened to be captured by my camera was somewhat unexpected because I knew that by putting two mirrors together it would produce multiple images in the mirrors. The image is about how life is infinite in length and it can be repetitive. I was able to blur the line between illusion and reality. The photographer Vivian Maier influenced me in my work because of the way she was able to manipulate the reflection of the mirror to portray a message of self identity.

Cyanotype
1. Choose and image and convert it to black and white then invert the image
2. The inverted image is then printed on to a translucent paper
3. You paint watercolor paper with the cyanotype solution in the dark and leave it to dry for a day.
4. The next day you place the watercolor paper on a board and then put the translucent image on top of it.
5. The two papers are then are clamped onto each other by a see through plastic cover.
6. Then place the image in direct sunlight for a period of time.
7. After that time take the image inside and put the watercolor paper in a tray and wash the paper till the yellow cyanotype solution is off.
8. Then place the paper in a tray with hydrogen peroxide in it and leave it in there for a few seconds.
9. Then you remove the paper from the solution and place it on a drying rack.
10. The next day it is done.
